Food Items Distribution
Along with the NFIs distribution SRSP has distributed a total of 5343 food items to different sub-camps and host families.

Construction of Kitchens for IDP
SRSP with the help of UNHCR has initiated the construction of 9000 kitchens inside different IDP camps; the details are as follow
- 5000 in different phases of Jalozai Camp Nowshera
- 4000 in Yar Hussain Camp.
So far 6911 kitchens have been completed – 4203 in Jalozai camp – 2708 in Yar Hussain Camp while work is in progress on the remaining.
Child Friendly Spaces
Child Friendly Spaces
In the traumatic situation in IDPs camps where the children are particularly tense due to extreme hot, alien environment and no place to play. The SRSP with the collaboration of PPAF has established child friendly space at Shiekh Yaseen camp on 15th June, 2009. The purpose of establishing child friendly space is to provide an atmosphere to the children where they can learn and play.
The school has been insulated to minimize the effects of heat, it consists of a large class room and a playground having some rides as well. The enrolment of the school is 80 including 40% boys and 60% girl students with in the age group of 4 to 11 years. Two female teachers are hired for the school and the school timings are 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. The school has no particular syllabus; they are taught the basics of counting, alphabets and history of Pakistan.
Daily refreshment like juice and cookies are also provided to the children and note Books, pencils are also provided to the children.
IDP Assessment
Assessment of IDPs residing out side the Camps
Out of 3.5 million displaced people more than 94 percent resides outside the camps due to insufficient capacity of the camps. SRSP took the initiative to assess the conditions of IDPs residing in different facilities such as Government schools, with host families and in spontaneous camps.Assessment of Govt. Schools
A large number of IDP families are residing in Government schools as it’s the best available residential facility for the IDPs where they have rooms to live, fans, toilets, access drinking water and the most important – privacy.The SRSP field units continuously assess Government Schools/IDPs Sub Camps on daily basis. SRSP has assessed a total of 220 Schools/Sub Camps till date in District Mardan, Charsada, Nowshera and Swabi. A total number of 3,824 families (24964 Individuals) are residing in these schools. All these schools are dependant on the local people for food and other basic necessities and are not managed or facilitated by any organization as shown in the table below

SRSP Assessment and Identification of Spontaneous Camps
SRSP organized 28 teams, equipped with GPS to identify spontaneous camps in five districts of NWFP, Mardan, Sawabi, Nowshera, Charsadda and Peshawar. A total number of 14 spontaneous camps were identified in district Mardan, Sawabi and Nowshera. A total number of 469 families (2745 Individuals) are residing in these spontaneous camps, which are not managed or facilitated by any organization.
